A stylish place in the center on Kuzneckij most from the team Saxon+Parole

CONCEPTION

Dante Alighieri is, of course, the author of «The Divine Comedy». We are connected to the great writer by the house where Dante Kitchen & Bar is located. Initially, the building designed by I.P. Mashkov at 3 Kuzneckij most was used as a profitable house for Mrs. M.V. Sokol. Later, it housed the Dante Alighieri Italian Society, which provided assistance in obtaining permits for individuals seeking to visit Italy. In those years, the building was adorned with the sign «Dante», and the project’s creators, Alexander Efremov (Managing Partner of Saxon+Parole) and Alexey Filatov, believed that a better name for their project in this historic location could not be found.

INTERIOR

It was built in early 1904 for the Moscow housewife M. V. Sokol by the architect I. P. Mashkov.

During the reconstruction, interesting layers of old walls were uncovered and preserved, and the cast-iron spiral staircase leading to the restaurant’s second floor was restored.

When designing the interior details, the project designer Evgeniya Uzhigova (Living Now studio) was inspired by the tropical nature and the play of light and shadow, so the main roles in the space are given to live plants and multifaceted lighting.

CUISINE

About 20 signature dishes from the chef. Modern European cuisine, breakfasts, Italian pints, signature cocktails, and draft beer.

We are pleased to introduce the new chef of our restaurant, Kornyakho Kirill, a professional with global experience. His culinary journey includes work at renowned establishments such as «Artem» (Las Vegas, Nevada), «Twins», «Mechta», «Vatrushka», and others. He has collaborated with leading Russian chefs, including the Berezutsky brothers, and conducted master classes on an international level. His dishes are a harmonious blend of taste, technique, and high-end gastronomy.

BAR

The bar is managed by Chief Bartender Artem Kuzin, who is a member of the Top 5 and Top 3 of the best bartenders in Russia according to Diageo World Class 2021 and LBBC 2019, respectively.

Artem has developed an interesting concept for a cocktail card that consists of nine drinks. The idea is that each guest will be able to experience the spirit of Dante’s works, as nine is a number that holds a special place in his writings.

The familiar ingredients are presented in a new light, thanks to Artem’s innovative approach to preparation techniques and flavor combinations.
